New Web Site Provides Answer to Everlasting Question of What to Give
(PRWEB) May 1, 2006
New gift-giving advice Web site GetGifting.com (http://www.GetGifting.com) is pleased to officially announce its launch. The GetGifting.com team was created when a small group of friendly individuals, all having the talent of invention, production and the making of gifts and gift ideas, joined forces and set up an international service center for helping people and companies around the world find the appropriate presents for any occasion.
Searching the Web for gift ideas can result in hundreds or even thousands of businesses and Web sites offering gift-related products and links. But a company or Web site offering a simple “Q & A” service for gift-giving is rare if not inexistent.
Since its launch less than three months ago GetGifting.com has already helped “gifters” from 25 countries find the right gifts for their parents, spouses, employees, family members, friends and other acquaintances.
“Typical occasions leading to the need for gifts are weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and holidays,” says Ilan Yogev, founder and general manager of GetGifting.com. “But people have also been using GetGifting.com to get gift ideas for simply making someone happy or to show someone their love or appreciation.”
Yogev says the site has become quite popular and has received some very positive feedback. “The work load is breathtaking,” says Yogev. “But the approval we receive from people makes it worthwhile.”
Using the service is simple and straightforward; upon entering the site, the user is asked to give some details about the party receiving the gift (such as age, gender, relation to gift giver, etc.). The user also provides the budget limit and the occasion or reason for the gift. GetGifting.com will then send gift-giving advice by e-mail rather than display it on the site.
This service is free and utterly anonymous. The single personal detail users are asked to submit is an e-mail address for the delivery of the response.
The founders of GetGifting.com say the theme of this Web site is friendship, and this relates to the advertisements as well. “We rely on advertisements for maintaining the service, but we don’t want the ads to put off our visitors – so pop-ups are out,” Yogev says. On the other hand, GetGifting.com is also very appealing to advertisers in view of the targeted audience.
