GiftCardRescue.com, LLC today announced the launch of its new bankruptcy protection policy that will cover customers that purchase gift cards from the company’s Web site.
“The current economic downturn is causing anxiety among consumers about whether a gift card purchased today will be redeemable tomorrow given the recent surge in bankruptcies by retailers. When a customer buys a gift card from GiftCardRescue.com and the retailer goes bankrupt within a year of the gift card purchase, GiftCardRescue.com will reimburse the customer for any unused value on the gift card, should the gift card issuer stop honoring gift cards. All eligible claims submitted within 30 days of the bankruptcy will be paid in full.
